  • Huge week! And sounds like a sunami of a week ahead of you as well. Back to back 100's should be pretty dang interesting. If you keep a steady pace and fuel properly I'm sure you can do it. Just remember, if in doubt change your gear and spin easier! You don't want any strain on the legs and lactic acid build up on a trip like that so high cadence and easy gearing. Good luck! Can't wait to hear the report from the road.

  • thanks, it's taken me awhile to appreciate the higher gears, but i have developed an approach counter to racing.....slow and steady.
i'm taking it to Lawrence Ks. to visit Cara and the boys. First night in Chanute where free camping is offered then finish the trip on Wednesday.I scheduled the trip to coincide with the boys basketball camp in Lawrence.I'm riding the bus back home on Sunday.

  • Wow sounds like an awesome trip! I'm envious. Slow and steady is good, and there is nothing wrong with doing that in the higher gears; the legs will love you for it at the end of the day. Be safe, and eat and drink lots! Would be great to get a couple of images of the road warrior on the road on Wotor!
