From Defeat to Victory

At the one mile mark of a planned five mile run on Saturday morning I scrubbed the mission. Aching hips and knees gave a cold  wind even more negative influence on my mental state.I stopped and walked back home. The thought of never running again seemed a rational thought.
This morning a cup of coffee and a determined mind-set got me out of the neighborhood.
I felt no real aches and found a rythym.At the one mile mark I kept on going. Two, three, four, five miles before I turned it around to get that north wind to my back. I managed to get a beneficial 10 miler in.

30 miles for the year.,
